Introduction
The Master’s Degree in Architecture, which qualifies graduates for professional practice, completes the training of future architects and provides them with access to the profession. It combines design projects, urban planning, technology, and sustainability, with an emphasis on social responsibility and real-world practice. The Final Degree Project represents the culmination of this process, where students demonstrate, in an integrated manner, everything they have learned throughout their Bachelor’s and Master’s studies.
The “Place and Project” track explores in greater depth the idea of CONSTRUCTING SITUATIONS and reflecting on the Present. It examines the relationship between architecture and context, understanding place as a combination of historical, social, cultural, environmental, and formal values. The aim is to provide students with the critical and creative tools needed to transform their surroundings responsibly.
This track requires students to learn how to make simultaneous decisions regarding place, programme, and materiality, with the aim of learning how to read reality and transform it. What is happening now? How can I improve reality? How can I give it meaning?
